bio TRACY SALTER is excited and proud to be making her OpenStage Theatre debut. In addition to acting, Tracy is a professor in the School of Theatre Arts and Dance at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. At UNC, Tracy directs for the mainstage season and teaches acting, voice/dialects and improvisation. Prior to teaching at UNC, Tracy lived in New York City, where she worked as an actress and also taught conflict resolution and social/emotional skills using drama and drama therapy techniques in many NYC inner city schools. Past performances include: Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Dr. Livingstone in Agnes of God, Mayella in To Kill a Mockingbird, Louise in Always, Patsy Cline, Kate in Sylvia and Claire in Proof. Tracy also is looking forward to playing Judith Bliss in Noel Coward's Hay Fever this summer. She received her B.F.A. from Graceland University and her M.F.A. from the University of Florida, where she was afforded the opportunity to participate in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Tracy also served as the Director of Theatre Strike Force, a University of Florida improv troupe voted "Best Playmates" in Florida Leader magazine, Best Reasons to attend Florida Schools Issue. |
