COREY HALLWACHS received her B.A. in Theatre Design and Technical Production in 2003 from Western Michigan University with an emphasis in scenic design and scenic painting. Since then she has worked as a freelance designer and painter for various theatre companies across west Michigan. She has had the opportunity to attend workshops at Cobalt Studios in New York and this past December to intern with the Royal Shakespeare Company's paint department in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England. Corey is currently pursuing an M.A. in theatre education at the University of Northern Colorado and is excited to be in Colorado. She co-designed the set and was the scenic charge artist for OpenStage Theatre's recent production of The One-Eyed Man Is King and also was the scenic artist for Bug.
