bio L. MICHAEL SCOVEL began acting at the age of twelve, performing in the Boy’s Band in The Music Man. He trained as an actor at Boston University and the University of Northern Iowa, where he performed the role of Silvius in As You Like It. He has performed locally with OpenStage Theatre & Company, The Dance Connection, Canyon Concert Ballet, IMPACTheatre, Foothills Civic Theatre, Rabbit Hole Radio Theatre, Opera Fort Collins, openstage etc and Bas Bleu Theatre. Notable past roles include Kerry Max Cook in The Exonerated (for which he won an All-State acting award from the Colorado Community Theatre Coalition), Leontes in The Winter’s Tale, Banquo in Macbeth, Lord Capulet in Romeo & Juliet, Brick in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Starbuck in The Rainmaker and the title role in Rasputin. He appeared most recently as Lloyd Dallas in OpenStage Theatre’s production of Noises Off and as Adam in the Bas Bleu production of Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me. Lenny also serves as the Company Representative on the OpenStage Board of Directors. When not on stage, Lenny is a professional woodworker and enjoys his family, working on his house and playing board games. |
